MAINTENANCE AIDE, Full time - Generations at Applewood, Matteson, IL - $20.00 per hour


Generations Applewood in Matteson, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Full Time Maintenance Technician. The Hours are Saturday through Wednesday, 9 am - 5:00 pm; $20 per hour.


Please note, this position requires that you are deemed eligible to work in a healthcare facility by IDPH and may required fingerprinting and thorough background checks. Healthcare Worker Waivers are not Accepted at this facility.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

  • Perform general maintenance duties such as dry walling, painting, tile installation, plumbing, replacing lighting fixtures, etc.
  • Assist Maintenance Director as needed

Requirements

of the Maintenance Technician:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Must pass a complete background check, including fingerprinting if not in IDPH Registry
  • Demonstrated experience with painting, tile installation, plumbing, carpentry, etc., in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, linens, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds as required
  • Good communication skills a must
  • Able to work with a team as well as independently
  • Must have compassion, understanding and tolerance for older adults
