The opportunity

We are looking for Domestic Workers (Home Helps) both on a casual & perm part-time basis. Services delivered to our clients may include assisting with social support & general housekeeping, making beds, and laundry, along with occasional shopping, correspondence, and food preparation. 

You should be available for a minimum of 3 days per week, between Monday to Friday. Domestic workers can cover shifts between 8am to 4pm, with peak demand aligning to school hours. Silver Chain understands that these are extraordinary times, so we will work with you and your available days and times to secure the right position for you. Talk to us about shifts within your location.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates are required to demonstrate the following:

• Community Care Experience (or relevant industry experience)
• Current Australian driver’s license
• Registered & insured vehicle, suitable for work purposes
• Pass a medical appraisal (known as FCT)

About you

Domestic Worker benefits include the following:

• Smart phone & training provided to perform your work
• Hourly rate of $29.01p/h plus Super for Casual & $23.21p/h plus Super for Part-Time.
• Minimum of 3hrs per shift for casual and perm-part time
• Travel allowance of $0.80 per kilometre for travel between clients
• Salary packaging, up-to $15,899 per year
• Opportunities to develop into a Care Worker (including gaining your Cert 3 qualification)

Based on Silver Chain Group Policy and Government Directions, you will be required to provide evidence of double vaccination against COVID-19, or evidence of a medical exemption in order to commence employment with Silver Chain.
