AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be a least 21 years old.
1. Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Training and Experience: Must be capable of handling a firearm and obtaining a commissioned Security Officer license. Will be required to obtain a high pressure boiler license after 6 months of on the job training.
3. Job Knowledge: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with patients, staff, visitors, and administration.

DESCRIPTION:
This position exists to protect life and property of all persons on hospital premises and to police hospital grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. To ensure boilers are attended on a regular basis and logged in on a timely manner.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting occasionally, frequent (50 – 60%) standing/walking, bending and stooping, lifting up to 100 pounds, carrying (weight of object carried not to exceed 50 pounds). Occasional pushing/pulling, twisting/turning, crouching/stooping and kneeling. Handling/Manual dexterity – gross motor skills are necessary as well as talking/hearing/seeing is mandatory for performance of this position. Physical requirement testing conducted semi-annually (push-ups, sit-ups, stair run and ¼ mile).
