Position Title: S&Q Claims Analyst I
Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Essential Functions:

The S&Q Claims Analyst I will be responsible for providing administrative support to our office personnel. The S&Q Claims Analyst works directly with the Operations teams to assist the department in carrying out a variety of safety and quality programs and procedures for all company employees; escalates matters to the SQ director, as appropriate. controls, tracks, and manages all internal and external claims regarding operating company, including but not limited to; workers' compensation, general liability, completed operations, and motor vehicle. Will investigate, evaluate, and settle claims, ensuring prompt dispensation of cases and reduced loss ratio. This includes working with the General Managers and Supervisors to provide information, follow-up on questions and assistance as needed. This position also uses customer systems and follows up as needed with the GM's, Supervisors and/or customers. It might also require taking and receiving calls, taking messages, and directing calls as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assists with Claim Investigations, working with safety & training, operations, Peak general counsel, claimants, and insurance companies.
- Handles claims of theft, loss, vandalism, equipment damage, general liability 3rd party’s property damage, motor vehicle accidents, workers’ comp as needed.
- Orders post-accident drug & alcohol tests, per PEAK Policies
- Trains new employees (safety/training departments) on incident reporting, motor vehicle accidents, equipment damage, theft, loss, vandalism, general liability property damage.
- Review claim notices for liability and handle & forward appropriately.
- Communicate on claims review, status updates, claims investigations with claimants, 3rd party insurance companies, internal insurance claim adjusters, SLC, operations, claims notification emails, liability release of claims, claim denials, safety & training personnel, police depts., Peak general counsel & fleet.
- Code and submit invoices and check requests to A/P, Peak & internal claim adjusters.
- Accepts and processes all Boot Vouchers, safety prescription glasses requests, and excavation incident call-ins, to include generating damage reports and notifying relevant entities in the case of an incident.
- Track, file and maintain claim files.
- Ensures completed documentation related to utility incidents, including reports, photos, and relevant signatures.
- Make phone calls related to utility incidents.
- Administers employee record systems to include quality audits, safety and quality training, and maintenance of employee training records.
- Performs occasional filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance.
- Prepares statistical data and compiles reports (internal and external reports) on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis; maintains other records, reports, and logs pertaining to SQ programs.
- Manages claim files to meet company and insurance standards.
- Provides timely and accurate reports on claims to the Director of SQT
- Performs data entry to maintain company and vendor systems.
- Conducts data exports and imports as required; resolves errors and record discrepancies.
- Assist with developing training on compliance safety topics, policies, and procedures.
- Pull GPS reports & compile data, develop & update incident reports, as requested, create PDF fillable forms, as requested, proofread documents, as requested.
- Vector Administrator, troubleshoot for employees, add/remove employees, employee list, manage Vector users.
- Set up/edit forms (observations, incident entry)
- Assist with quarterly drug and alcohol reporting, process data, submit reports.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos, presentations, etc.
- Data entry and reporting assignments/projects as requested from Peak USG staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:
- Two (2+) plus years of claims administrative experience in the training or safety field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis.
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
