About the Role 
As a Data/Analytics Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for contributing to designs, development, and implementation of technical products. You will use your knowledge of engineering products to assist with solving complex problems. You will work cross-functionally with other internal teams and key business partners to ensure that we deliver the best experience for our members. You will explore our current data and data models, which will lead to a project that has an impact on the business and makes data available to stakeholders. 

You are member obsessed, accountable to yourself, others, and the data, and will continuously seek out improvements to better the products that we deliver to our customers. You are collaborative and an excellent problem-solver who sees challenges as opportunities, not roadblocks. 

Responsibilities 
•Participate in our Data Team Agile framework with meetings like daily stand-up, backlog refinement, retros, and delivery meetings 
•Perform deep-dives on our data to better understand how it can help the business 
•Manipulate, transform, and expose data for end user analysis 
•Design and create data models using SQL 
•Provide data documentation and validation 
•Provide strong data analysis and insights to inform and support operational and strategic decisions 
•Collaborate with key stakeholders cross-functionally to ensure all viewpoints and needs are heard and considered when making decisions, recommendations, and providing results 
•Produce and communicate clear analysis and takeaways based on your work and present it to relevant stakeholders  
•Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment 

Requirements 
•Availability to work our of our Watertown, Massachusetts office at least one day per week from June 3rd through August 15th
Demonstrated interest in analytics engineering, data engineering, data analysis, and business are all strong positives in the evaluation of this role 
•Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex SQL queries
•Experience with the following technologies and platforms are ‘nice to haves’ but not required: Azure Databricks, Lightdash, DBT, Git, Python, data warehouses/data lakes, data modeling and concepts
