Save On Energy is an online marketplace that simplifies how you shop your energy service in Texas. Our purpose at Save On Energy is to provide customers with competitive energy plans from top providers, focusing on the Texas deregulated energy and solar energy markets. We combine our knowledge of the energy market with our trusted partnerships with top providers to connect customers to reliable energy plans for their homes.

This will be a hybrid role based out of our Fort Mill, SC office with expected in-office days (Tuesday - Thursday) each week.

This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on OPT and STEM-EXT OPT, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp.

What You’ll do:

• As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will contribute to a wide range of projects that power our energy business and help deliver value to our customers.
• You will work closely with business, project managers, engineer managers, and engineers to solve business problems by delivering scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Guide formal and informal code and architecture reviews.
• Contribute to key architectural decisions.
• Maintain high standards of engineering excellence and best practices.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and prioritize work as needed. 
• Build solutions that scale, are secure, and maintainable.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, learning-oriented environment and culture that empowers team members to grow and succeed.
• You will coach junior engineers in the team.

What We’re looking for:

• Senior Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of experience in full stack web development.

• Frontend proficiency in HTML, CSS, SASS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Next.JS, EJS, and GraphQL.
• Backend proficiency in Typescript/Node.js, GoLang, Terraform, and AWS Cloud services.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, functional programming concepts, and software architecture.
• Experience designing and building APIs for a variety of clients.
• Understanding of how to build and consume REST APIs.
• Experience in unit testing and test frameworks.
• Experience with a CI/CD pipeline. For example, Github Actions and CircleCI.
• Experience with NoSQL DB like DynamoDB.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Experience with tools like Figma, SmartDraw, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Proficiency in version control tools like Git.
• Experience with CMS like WordPress and StoryBlok.
• Experience hosting web applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) - (Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, WAF, S3, CloudFront, Route53, etc.)
• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Growth Mindset: A relentless desire to learn and excel in a tech-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration, including communicating technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

• Cash Compensation Range: $100,000 - 145,000*
  • Note: actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
