Job Description

The IT Support & Audio/Visual Systems Manager is a hybrid role combining frontline IT helpdesk support, minor network administration, and application management and also involves Audio/Visual Systems Management. . You’ll be part of the it support team for day-to-day tech issues, help manage the infrastructure that keeps our systems secure and connected, and oversee the performance and configuration of key software applications used in the organization. Additonally you will manage all aspects of the audio/visual systems owned by the International Linguistics center, which inlcudes training operators, mainaing inventory and troubelshooting respiar of audio/visual systems, designing new or replacement systes,

Responsibilities
Helpdesk Support (End-User Support):

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff via in-person, phone, and email channels 

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows environments 

  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations 

  • Onboard and offboard users; manage permissions and access controls 

Network Administration:

  • Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPN, and wireless access points 

  • Perform regular updates, backups, and security patches 

  • Assist with implementing cybersecurity best practices and policies

Application Administration:

  • Administer core business applications (Helpdesk System, 3rd Party App Update Management, ) 

  • Manage user accounts, integrations, and licensing 

  • Support departmental tools and ensure compatibility across systems 

  • Act as liaison with vendors and service providers

ILC Audio/Visual Systems Manager:

  • Have a thorough knowledge of the Audio/Visual systems in the large meeting rooms on the ILC campus, e.g. Event Center, Activity Center, Dining Hall, Cornerstone Hall, Travis Building, Hunt Central, Cowan Dining/Lobby. 

  • Train operators & users for these systems. 

  • Maintain & inventory, troubleshoot, and repair/replace the systems and components, and/or work with service technicians for such repairs. 

  • Design and install new and replacement A/V systems; work with consultants and vendors for the design and deployment of such systems appropriate for the designated spaces. 

  • Help coordinate & deploy temporary A/V systems (e.g. outdoor events, large conferences).

  • Helpful to have general knowledge of current gear trends and best practices in the A/V and video conferencing industries.  

Qualifications

  • A committed Christian with a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ 

  • Alignment with the mission and values of SIL Global 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 

  • 2+ years of professional experience in IT support, network management, or application administration 

  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Google Workspace and basic networking 

  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills 

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff 

  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks independently 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a nonprofit or ministry setting 

  • Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 

  • Basic scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) 

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and basic cybersecurity frameworks
