About Inland Rail:

Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.

The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.

Expression Of Interest Blue-Collar Workforce

John Holland is seeking expressions of interest from experienced workforce to join our I2S project. We are looking for skilled individuals with strong civil and bulk earthworks experience to work on a 2:1 roster, based out of Cootamundra.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following roles:

• Compactor Operators 
• Concreters
• Truck Drivers
• Dozer Operators 
• Franna Operators 
• General Construction Labourers 
• Large Excavator Operators 
• Leading Hands 
• Peggies 
• Riggers 
• Rough Terrain Crane Operators 
• Storeperson / Fitters

About You:

• Ability to work on a 2:1 roster (2weeks on / 1 week off)
• Monday to Friday opportunities for local residents.
• Willing to do DIDO (Drive in drive out) or TITO (Train in Train out)
• Experience in civil construction and bulk earthworks.
• Experience with operating mobile plant equipment.
• Strong understanding and focus for safety.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures and use of PPE always during work activities.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
