Jumpmind is looking for a Software Engineer – DevOps who is passionate about building automation to make software delivery faster, more reliable, and easier for developers. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing and implementing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation that power our AWS-based microservices platform.

Our flagship product, Jumpmind Commerce, helps leading retail brands deliver seamless, modern customer experiences. In this role, you will directly contribute to the tooling and automation that enable our teams to innovate quickly and confidently.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support frequent, reliable releases.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and AWS-native services.

  • Develop repeatable workflows for application builds, testing, and deployments.

  • Create tooling and scripts (Bash, Python) to remove manual steps from development and release processes.

  • Collaborate with developers to improve build times, deployment speed, and overall developer experience.

  • Document workflows, infrastructure code, and automation best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Automation Engineering roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM).

  • Expertise with GitHub Actions (or similar) for CI/CD pipeline automation.

  • Proficiency with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

  • Scripting experience in Bash or Python for automation tasks.

  • Knowledge of containerization and deployment with Docker (Kubernetes experience a plus).

  • Strong understanding of build and release processes for modern software teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting Java/Spring microservices build and release pipelines.

  • Familiarity with Gradle and Maven build systems.

  • Exposure to Agile development practices and DevOps culture.

  • Experience with automated testing integration in CI/CD pipelines.
