Job Skills/Requirements
 

  • Must be 21 years of age 
  • Must be citizen of the United States of America
  • Three years of armed security experience within past five years and/or
  • Three years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve) and/or
  • PSOs shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English. Government may require - - - PSOs to possess proficiency in a specific language
  • Must complete (sign/date) a Lautenberg Amendment Statement/Domestic Violence certification annually

 

Certification Requirements 

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 20-hour OPOTA private security firearms certification must be completed
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen analysis
  • Must complete and pass medical and physical testing

Education Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or GED
