Job Title:Damage Repack & Receiving Associate 

Department: Shipping 

Reports To: Supervisor

PRIMARY Objective: The Damage Repack and Receiving Associate is responsible for the oversight and execution of all inbound delivery receipts and customer returns, and finished goods damage repack.   

Responsibilities:  

  • Inspect product damages and returns in accordance with BRC food safety standards to determine condition
  • Repack all damage and returns as needed that meet BRC food safety standards
  • Manage corrugated repack material, shipping supplies and other related items in an orderly and timely manner
  • Record and document all damage, recase and return activities for record keeping purposes and accountingRecord receiving data into ERP system.
  • Return stock to general inventory in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage and record all identified unsalvageable finished goods. Correspond with shipping team and CRS’s all customer returnsExamine delivery contents for accuracy and compare with records, such as packing slips, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. 
  • Oversee and execute routine ordering activities of warehouse needs to include: shipping, office and cleaning supplies
  • Serve as primary point of contact for SCT Accounting team to assist in MRP receiving requisitions
  • Deliver items received to appropriate party, delivery of intercompany, USPS mail, making deliveries to and from facilities off-site facilities when needed using SCT transportation
  • Assist in warehouse inventory projects to include: inventory verification, pulling of damaged product, pulling of samples, put-away and/or placement of delivered supplies
  • Manage UPS/Fedex shipments of full case finished goods.
  • Assist in Ecommerce initiatives related to pulling, packaging and shipping of packages
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all warehouse finished goods scrap requests, maintaining and executing all product donation activities
  • Primary point of contact for SCT employee tray give-away program
  • Maintain active forklift certification (forklift use may not be required in daily use but operation will be a requirement of position)
  • Maintain a safe and well-organized work environment that includes organization of product damages, recase finished goods, supplies and delivered items 

QUALIFICATIONS:   

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have computer skills and possess ability to utilize Microsoft Office, inventory management, and E-1 software. Proficient use of shipping software is required.   

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.   

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read measurements, and have an understanding of both standard and metric measuring systems.   

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must become a Certified Fork Lift operator in accordance with SCT training and carry a copy of your certification with you.   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with arms and hands, frequently is required to climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, ability to lift/move 25 to 50 pounds. A person must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with a 30-minute meal break any other applicable breaks during his/her shift) on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team member successfully performing the essential functions of this job.
