Mobius is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will support the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) Integrated System Program Office (ISPO) delivering Overhead Persistent Infra-Red (OPIR) mission management, tasking, collection, processing & dissemination, as well as integration with DoD Space Based Infra-Red System (SBIRS). The candidate will provide senior-level systems engineering support, guiding technical efforts across multiple domains and ensuring alignment with NRO GED objectives. A background that includes understanding of OPIR system ground architectures as well as exposure to OPIR phenomenology, characteristics, designs, commanding systems, and data processing algorithms. The position is in the National Capitol Region.

Duties of a Senior Systems Engineer may include:

  • Trade Study & analysis supporting ground architecture & CONOP development
  • Integration of a common environment for Simulations-to-Operations (SimOps) consistent with select architecture models, such as the Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) model.
  • Use simulation, modeling, and visualization capabilities to compare architecture alternatives and evaluate changes
  • Develop, document, maintain, and coordinate integrated ground architectures utilizing cloud environments
  • Develop high-level requirements derived from Operational Need Statements
  • Develop and maintain requirements, traceability, and verification in Government furnished tool(s), e.g. Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System
  • Use end-to-end mission engineering to align and synchronize acquisitions, planning, and support architecture and requirements analyses and trade studies.
  • Operations and maintenance of cloud infrastructure technologies & services and support integration of cloudbased capabilities with existing systems
  • Change/configuration management through the Request for Change (RFC) process; Familiar with Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Boards processes
  • Development and use of Agile schedule management methodologies including the reliance on “roadmaps” to communicate the planning of high-level major mission capabilities
  • Support Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management Board, Joint Risk Working Group and applicable stakeholder Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs).
  • Support Readiness, Test, Verification, and Validation activities
