As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights to guide strategic and operational initiatives working closely with the executive team and senior leadership. This will help us excel in delivering timeously to the senior management and shareholders of the organisation, to assist with their decision-making processes enabling us to stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Provide in-depth financial analysis and modelling to support business decisions, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial data, reports, trends, and performance indicators to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Develop sophisticated financial models to simulate scenarios, assess risks, and support strategic decision-making processes.
Utilize analysis and modelling results to inform business decisions related to forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Financial Planning
Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning and strategy.
Regularly update and refine financial models to ensure accuracy and relevance in supporting business planning and strategy.
Forecast future financial performance based on historical data, market developments, and business objectives to guide strategic planning efforts.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to create detailed budgets aligned with organizational goals and financial objectives.
Reporting Tools and Automation
Utilizing/Implement various tools and technologies to streamline financial reporting processes.
Identify, evaluate, and implement appropriate tools and technologies to automate and optimize financial reporting processes effectively.
Streamline reporting workflows using automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in generating financial reports.
Provide guidance and training to team members on utilizing reporting tools and ensure seamless integration of automation solutions into existing processes.
Stakeholder Management
Communicate financial results and insights to non-financial stakeholders, including senior management, country managers and marketing teams.
Tailor financial results and insights for presentation to diverse stakeholders, ensuring clear and impactful reporting.
Engage with senior management, country managers, and cross-functional teams to align financial information with overall business strategies and objectives.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis, reporting and planning.
Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in financial analysis, reporting, and planning processes through in-depth analysis and diagnosis.
Implement strategic enhancements and process modifications to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in financial reporting and planning.
Special Projects
Lead special projects, such as financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of project outcomes.
Team Development and Support
Provide guidance and support to finance team members, including training and development, relating to financial reporting requirements, purpose of reports and automation of financial reporting.
Clearly articulate the purpose and significance of various financial reports generated within the organization, ensuring team members understand how their work contributes to the various key financial reports.
Provide hands-on training and guidance on utilizing reporting automation tools effectively.
Financial Governance:
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
SAICA, CIMA or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a senior finance analyst role
Proficient in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools and software
Strong working knowledge and experience in driving delivery through technology and innovation
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

Experience in system and process optimisation
Proven track record in finance project management and delivering quality outcomes
