Black River Health is recruiting for (6) Full-Time Retail Pharmacy Technicians.   These positions are benefited, day shift, working 80 hours per pay period, with rotating weekends (Saturday only ½ day).  The desired candidate will have National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) and a minimum of one year of retail or outpatient pharmacy technician experience.   This position is located at our Krohn Clinic campus.

Essential Duties: 

• Enters customer and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system.
• Prepares, labels, and packages medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Processes prescription refills, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Respond to routine questions related to medications, insurance, and billing; escalate complex inquiries as appropriate.
• Monitors and restocks inventory to maintain appropriate medication levels and reduce out-of-stock occurrences.

Educational Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred; required within six months of hire
• Registered as a pharmacy technician with the state board of pharmacy, if applicable
• Minimum of one year of retail or outpatient pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and related technologies
