Position:

The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes within the facility meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves monitoring the flow of inventory, conducting inspections, performing audits, and ensuring that all safety and compliance protocols are followed to deliver high-quality products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Inspection and Testing:
   • Conduct regular inspections of products during the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping stages.
   • Ensure products meet quality specifications and regulatory standards.
   • Perform sampling and testing of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
2. Process Monitoring:
   • Monitor the operational processes within the distribution center to ensure they adhere to established quality standards.
   • Conduct periodic audits of processes to identify any areas for improvement or non-compliance.
   • Manages rejection weight scale, documents missed and partners with operations leadership to provide feedback to team members.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits.
   • Document any issues, discrepancies, or non-conformities and assist in creating corrective action plans.
   • Generate quality reports for management and assist with quality-related documentation for compliance audits.
4. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and managers to ensure product quality standards are consistently met.
   • Provide feedback and training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and any areas for improvement.
5. Non-Conformance Handling:
   • Identify defective or damaged goods and ensure proper handling, segregation, and documentation of non-conforming products.
   • Assist with corrective action and improvement initiatives when quality issues arise.
6. Health & Safety Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the distribution center.
   • Report any safety hazards or quality concerns that could impact product quality or worker safety.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   • Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
   • Participate in root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and recommend solutions.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills to report issues effectively to team members and management.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and quality standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and quality assurance software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications, blueprints, and regulatory guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
