What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
 
Our wastewater collection system operators participate in the operations and maintenance of our Wastewater Collection System and Wastewater Pumping Stations, which may include CCTV work, line repair and replacement, road flagging, and water disconnects. This individual may also operate water and/or wastewater treatment plant equipment in a support role.  Performs skilled, journeyman-level work in monitoring, repairing and controlling the functioning of pump station and plant equipment and processes.
 
In this role, you will work under the direct or general supervision of the Lead Operator and Project Manager.
 
Schedule: Five, 8hr. shifts (6am to 2:30pm/Mon-Fri) after onboarding and training. May need to work rotating standby/on call, including weekends.  A $200 stipend is provided for standby availability, with additional compensation for any hours worked while on standby.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • A self-motivated, positive, can-do attitude!
  • A valid Class A CDL is desirable.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the wastewater industry is preferred.
  • CWEA Collection System Maintenance certification is desirable.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
  • Applicant must possess a valid CA Class C Driver’s License.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
