Cosentino's Price Choppers is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Space Allocation Specialist to optimize product placement and maximize sales within our stores. This role requires a strong understanding of space planning principles, analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. The Space Allocation Specialist will leverage their organizational skills and time management abilities to ensure efficient planogram execution and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for space optimization and product placement improvements.
• Develop and maintain planograms for various product categories, ensuring alignment with company standards and merchandising strategies.
• Collaborate with category managers and store operations teams to implement planograms and address any space allocation challenges.
• Conduct regular store audits to assess planogram compliance and identify areas for improvement, utilizing strong auditing skills.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools to track performance metrics and generate reports on space allocation effectiveness.
• Manage and coordinate space allocation projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
• Effectively communicate planogram changes and updates to store personnel, utilizing strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Provide training and support to store teams on planogram implementation and space management best practices.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding and mentoring team members.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, adhering to HRIS data security protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of space planning principles and merchandising techniques.
• General knowledge of retail operations and sales strategies.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Working knowledge of planogram software or similar space management tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a retail environment, specifically in space allocation or merchandising roles.
• Experience with benefits enrollment processes and benefits administration.
• Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint for presentations.
