Job Description:

We're looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team!

As a Sr. Software Engineer on our team, you will design and implement various Phreesia’s foundations products. You will gain a deep understanding of the US healthcare industry while working in a distributed team of talented software architects, developers, SDETs, and QA engineers. You will be building, testing, deploying, and supporting Phreesia Foundations products. These products include internal frameworks, APIs, services, and application used by other Phreesia development and customer facing teams. 

What You'll Do:

  • Work with an Architect to define, implement, and deliver enhancements and improvements for existing and new Phreesia Foundations products.
  • Become familiar with infrastructure and escalation processes used by Phreesia
  • Write technical documentation
  • Help review team commits via pull requests
  • Participate in sprint planning and execution
  • Maintain software security and quality standards
  • Help development and quality assurance team members
  • Support your products over their lifetime

What You'll Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of experience in developing and supporting highly distributed applications, with extensive expertise in Microsoft .NET Core and .NET framework using C#, databases (SQL Server, MongoDB, NoSQL), and cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in using Angular or React.
  • Hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • A self-motivated, pragmatic approach with the ability to excel in a highly distributed team environment.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A highly collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude.

Technology required:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET Core and .Net framework using C#
  • Strong SQL Server (and other relational databases), Mongo, Redis
  • Good understanding of various messaging systems like Rabbit MQ, MSMQ, SNS/SQS
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc)

Nice to have:

  • Experience utilizing AWS or other public clouds
  • Kubernetes
  • WCF
