The Position

At OPSWAT, we’re on a mission to protect the world’s most critical infrastructure. As a U.S.-based cybersecurity leader, we’re expanding our R&D footprint in Hungary — and we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team working on one of our most strategic solutions: MetaDefender Secure Managed File Transfer (MFT).

MetaDefender Secure MFT empowers enterprises to securely transfer sensitive files across systems, networks, and borders. Trusted by governments and global organizations, we are at the heart of secure data movement — and we’re expanding its future in Veszprém.

As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in testing cutting-edge software solutions. As part of our cybersecurity-focused company, you will be developing cutting-edge software solutions that protect critical infrastructure from ever-evolving cyber threats. Your work will make a real impact—defending the digital front lines of industries, governments, and essential systems around the world.

What You Will be Doing

  • Write/review detailed test cases and perform testing based on requirements and documents.
  • Analyze/review product documents and requirements. 
  • Perform different types of testing: API testing, functional testing, integration testing, manual testing, usability testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, security testing, regression testing.
  • Be part of utilizing and improving the existing test framework to implement automated tests. 
  • Handle support escalation such as creating reproducible bug reports or help troubleshoot. 
  • Report/manage defects.

What We Need from You 

  • BS Degrees in Computer Science, Technology or related.
  • At least two years of software testing experience with a good QA mindset preferred.
  • Have a good knowledge on different Operating Systems (Windows, Linux...) and Browsers.
  • Familiar with working in Agile team.
  • English communication skills
  • Experience in automated test is a plus.
  • Familiar with JIRA, TeamCity, Git are welcomed.
  • ISTQB exam is an advantage.
  • A plus if able to be writing automation using any scripting languages (bash shell, powershell, python, ...), or any programming languages such as Java, C/C++, C#
  • Cybersecurity domain experience is also an advantage.
