Job Summary
Nassau’s 10-week, summer internship program in our Hartford, CT office prepares college students for careers in Information Technology Project Management. We have multiple opportunities to learn more about a specific field or functional area while gaining valuable hands-on work experience. The program allows Nassau to build relationships with the top talent of the future. We are currently recruiting for our Summer 2026 internship program, which will take place June 1, 2026-August 7, 2026.
In this role you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all aspects of a projects Life cycle from an IT & business perspective working alongside other PMs on currently in force or newly forming projects. This position will help you gain valuable insight on directing, overseeing, monitoring, and reporting on various IT and/or Business-related projects. The Project Manager will collaborate with project stakeholders and implement the project workplan to achieve project objectives. The Project Manager will lead daily Agile Scrum standup meetings (if applicable) and help identify and resolve project team issues. This position will assist project resources to analyze project needs, define requirements, develop user stories, develop and execute test plans, develop and maintain project documentation, and report (written and oral) project progress to stakeholders.
The candidate would also learn the important role IT plays in the success of a project through effective management techniques and best practices. Additionally, there would also be an introduction to our PM Checklist, SDLC process, audit controls and Project close out procedures that Project managers are responsible and/or accountable for.
