POSITION OVERVIEW:

Apollo is seeking a strong finance professional to join the Strategic Finance (SF) function which is part of the broader Finance function. Strategic Finance is responsible for the firm financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, senior management reporting, profitability analysis and other strategic deep dives.  The Associate position is structured to provide exposure across all disciplines of Strategic Finance and build a comprehensive knowledge of Apollo’s businesses and the alternative asset management industry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on non-comp expenses - building the Monthly Business Forecast.
• Will be the primary business unit owner to deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting tracking actuals vs. budget / forecast for various business/departments.
• Drive the centralized modeling of non-compensation budgets and five-year financial plans to support organizational strategy.
• Team management and coordination.
• Drive cost efficiency by understanding the business requirements and working with them on various initiatives on cost optimization.
• Spearhead, manage, and run point on the annual budget, long-term plan, and monthly forecasts for the business units/departments.
• Making presentations for senior management for all the above.
• Own and manage financial modeling on current and potential business initiatives.
• Work on ad hoc requests.
• Proactively work on automations and bring tangible change within the existing and new Book of work.
• Maintain required documentations in the non-comp role.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7-10 years of financial analysis experience.
• CA / MBA Finance is required
• Experience of OneStream, Power BI, Pyramid will be a plus
• Financial Planning and Analysis experience
• Exposure to complex organizational structures
• Excellent Excel-based modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills are required
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills
• Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• ·Operates with high energy and a “can do” attitude with top-tier work ethic
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
