About Burke’s
Burke's is an independent K-8 gender-inclusive all-girls’ school located on a 3.5-acre campus in San Francisco and is one of California’s leading elementary schools with a 117-year tradition of educational excellence. Our mission is to educate, encourage, and empower girls. Position Summary
The Director of After School and Summer Programs (“Director”) is responsible for three distinct programs:
The Director creates and implements inclusive and engaging extended care and summer programs for students in grades K-8, works across Lower and Upper schools with faculty, staff, parents, and outside vendors to ensure that all programming reflects the school’s mission and complements the school’s curriculum. The Director also manages the daily fiscal and administrative duties associated with after-school and summer programming. In addition to being knowledgeable and experienced in best practices in the area of after-school program management, the ideal candidate is dynamic, interested in learning and growing as a professional, and able to manage employees while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Compensation
Burke’s offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,950 - $110,448, based on experience plus position requirements. Comprehensive benefits are provided, including 7.5% retirement plan contribution for eligible employees. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2026, for planning and team-building.
