KittySpout / DoggySpout is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team! You will own organic social for both brands end to end across every social channel. You decide what each account is for, who it should bring in and what content grows it. Then you plan it, create it, publish it every day and adjust based on what the numbers tell you. This isn't a role for keeping the lights on: we want someone who will transform our socials and turn them into a super-engaged community that people actually want to be part of.

You report to our Influencers & Partnerships Manager and have a designer for bigger creative pieces, but the thinking is yours and you're strong on graphics and short-form video yourself. We are looking for someone with 2+ years running organic social for a DTC or consumer brand, who has personally created and published the content and can show the accounts they grew and the numbers they moved.

Own organic social for KittySpout and DoggySpout end to end across all social media channels. Success is accounts that keep growing and reach people who have never heard of us, with content created and published every day that grows an active, engaged community.

KittySpout is a premium DTC brand selling stainless steel cat water fountains, filters and accessories. We sell across Shopify, Amazon and Chewy, and we're one of the fastest-growing brands in the pet space – $50M+ in annual revenue and scaling to $100M+. We recently launched DoggySpout, expanding into an entirely new vertical and customer base. We're a 100% remote, lean, senior team that moves fast, and every person here has a massive impact on the business.

• Grow the audience on both brands – follower growth by brand and platform (Instagram, TikTok and Facebook insights)
• Reach people who have never heard of us – reach and non-follower reach per post by brand (platform insights)
• Content people save and share – saves, shares and engagement rate by brand (platform insights)
• Publish daily to plan on both brands – posts published per week per brand vs the content calendar (scheduling tool)
• An active, responsive community – comments and DMs answered within 24 hours, Facebook group activity (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

Key Objectives

• Own the organic content strategy for KittySpout and DoggySpout across all social media channels.
• Plan the content calendar one week ahead per brand and platform, mixing content for the existing community with content built to reach new audiences.
• Create and publish every day: write the hooks and captions, shoot and edit short-form video, and design day-to-day graphics and stories.
• Spot trends daily and get trend content live the same day.
• Turn the creator and UGC content from our creator programs into organic posts that perform.
• Run the community: comments, DMs, our Facebook group and tagged mentions.
• Read the data every week and act on it: double down on what works and drop what doesn't.

Requirements

• Fully remote, full-time
• Native-level written English
• Hands-on Organic Social: 2+ years personally running organic social for a DTC or consumer brand – creating and publishing the content yourself, not just approving it or managing an agency.
• Proof: Accounts you grew and numbers you moved. We will ask for this.
• Multi-brand, Multi-platform: You can run two brands across every social channel and tailor content to each instead of copying the same post everywhere.
• Design: You build clean, on-brand graphics and stories in Canva, Figma or similar without waiting on a designer.
• Hooks, Captions & Video: You write hooks that stop the scroll and shoot and edit short-form video to a solid standard.
• Trend Spotting: You're on TikTok and Instagram every day and spot trends before they peak.
• Data-driven: You read saves, shares, reach and engagement and change what you make because of it.
• Time Zone: Overlap with the US and Canada, where most of our audience is.
• No issue working overtime or on the weekends if needed. You are passionate about your work.
• Excellent cultural fit as per our values above.
• Excited to play a big role in scaling the company and work closely with the founder.
• Bonus points: pet, home or wellness brand experience; working with creators or UGC.

Accountabilities

What you own. Each one is checked green, yellow or red every week.

• Content strategy and calendar – Own the organic content strategy for both brands, plan next week's calendar per brand and platform and get it approved with the Influencers & Partnerships Manager, and get trend content live the same day.
• Create and publish daily – Write the hooks and captions, shoot and edit short-form video, design day-to-day graphics and stories, brief bigger pieces to the designer in advance, and follow brand guidelines and approved product claims on every post. Nothing missed, nothing late.
• Creator content – Review the creator and UGC content coming in from our creator programs, repurpose the best of it for organic, and feed back to the creator team on what works.
• Community – Reply to all comments and DMs within 24 hours across both brands, keep the Facebook group active, engage with tagged mentions, and flag customer issues to Customer Support the same day.
• Planning and reporting – Post daily priorities, deliver a performance report every Monday (what worked, what didn't and what you're changing), set organic social KPI targets with the Influencers & Partnerships Manager and update them on the department scorecard weekly, and join the weekly team meeting.

Salary Expectation

USD $3,000 – $4,500 per month (based on experience and expertise).
