Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified K–4th Grade Teacher to provide high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will foster academic achievement and social-emotional growth among students in kindergarten through fourth grade, using developmentally appropriate strategies tailored to meet diverse learning needs. The Kindergarten Teacher will design and deliver lessons aligned with state standards, using engaging, age-appropriate instructional methods to foster a love of learning in each child. Each teacher will also communicate regularly and effectively with students/parents.

The William Penn School District is located in southeastern Delaware County and serves approximately 5,000 students who reside in Aldan, Colwyn, Darby, East Lansdowne, Lansdowne, and Yeadon Boroughs. Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
Plan and deliver daily instruction aligned with district and state standards (e.g., Common Core or state-specific curriculum)
Teach core subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies
Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learners, including students with IEPs, English Language Learners, and advanced learners
Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Maintain accurate student records, including grades, attendance, and assessment data
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians through conferences, newsletters, and digital platforms
Collaborate with grade-level teams, interventionists, special education staff, and school administration
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-wide initiatives
Support positive student behavior through proactive classroom management strategies aligned with school policy

Level of Compensation: $51,619 - $102,820 (dependent on Step and Track placement as determined based on collective bargaining agreements)
