Description
Dupont Creative, a Washington, DC-based web design and digital marketing agency serving clients since 2011, is seeking a talented Visual Designer with 2 or more years of industry experience.
As a Visual Designer, you will collaborate closely with our clients and internal teams to conceptualize and execute visually stunning designs that effectively communicate brand messages and objectives. From website layouts to digital ads, your creative expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful digital marketing campaigns for our clients, which include law firms, nonprofits, trade associations, advocacy groups, and businesses. This is a hands-on design role focused on producing high-quality visual work across multiple platforms.
- Design Development: Partner with clients and internal teams to translate project requirements into compelling design concepts across websites, digital advertising, social media, and marketing collateral.
- User-Centric Design: Leverage user-centered design methodologies to craft intuitive interfaces that elevate user experience and maximize conversion potential.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop sophisticated, high-fidelity prototypes that secure stakeholder alignment based on client briefs and project requirements.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain brand integrity across all deliverables by upholding brand guidelines and expressing brand identity through strategic visual elements.
- Creative Ideation: Drive brainstorming initiatives with innovative design thinking and strategic solutions that align with client objectives and project vision.
- Responsive Design: Architect responsive experiences that perform flawlessly across all devices and screen dimensions, balancing functionality with visual excellence.
- Industry Trends: Monitor evolving design trends, emerging technologies, and progressive best practices in digital marketing, integrating fresh approaches to sustain competitive positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related discipline.
- 2 or more years of professional visual design experience within a digital marketing agency or similar client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and related design platforms.
- Robust portfolio reflecting experience across web design projects and digital marketing materials for diverse clients and industries.
- Comprehensive understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and methodologies.
- Strong communication abilities with the capacity to articulate design rationale and concepts with clarity to both internal teams and external clients.
- Meticulous attention to typography, color theory, and compositional hierarchy.
- Proven ability to excel both independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, deadline-intensive, client-driven environments.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, accessibility, and web design frameworks is advantageous.
