Responsibilities: Take ownership and lead design of efficient, high-quality, and scalable Android Apps that support Civil and Defense CustomersSupport the design, development and deployment of services to integrate highly technical sensors into web-based Command and Control (C2) platformTranslate complex business requirements into software solutions that offer high availability, reliability, and performance Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary engineers in the USA and AustraliaThis is a hybrid role with the option to work remotely some days when not required in-office Qualifications, Experience and Skills:BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience 4 to 8 years of experience in Android application developmentXML Views ExperienceFamiliarity with embedded systems and the challenges involved in integrating Android applications with hardwareFamiliarity with Android SDK, Gradle/groovy, establishing build environments and pipelinesFamiliarity with embedded systems and the challenges involved in integrating Android applications with hardwareExperience with gRPC or protobuf format is requiredGeneral API integration & design experienceStrong networking and scripting experience is requiredExperience with Unix/Linux environments, developing large software systems, microservice infrastructure and/or security software developmentComfortable working with customers and partners to communicate solutions to complex problemsFavorable Skills and Experience:Experience developing TAK Plugins is favorablePrevious Defense industry experience is highly favorablePrevious ‘start-up’ or ‘scale-up’ experience is favorable
