We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the collection and transformation of business requirements into technical requirements, assist in the development of training content, and provide overall project management support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis within data product development, as well as experience with Agile methodologies and cloud technologies. This role requires a keen understanding of data pipelines, data management techniques, and the ability to communicate technical requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and manage business requirements, transforming them into technical requirements for data product development.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop use cases, create test scenarios, and manage test executions and resolutions to verify that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
  • Provide project management support, including work verification and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of data products.
  • Develop training content and other knowledge-sharing resources for agency customers, focusing on data-related topics such as business intelligence tools, data literacy, and data visualization.
  • Create interactive data visualizations using business intelligence tools like Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau.
  • Capture and communicate technical requirements clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes on cloud technologies, with a focus on iterative development and delivery.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for tracking and managing project activities and progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of business analysis experience in data product development or data modernization initiatives. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Technical Skills: Foundational understanding of data pipelines, data management techniques, data warehousing, cloud infrastructure, data analysis, or data science.
  • Agile Expertise: Experience working in an Agile environment, particularly in the context of data product development.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) to develop interactive data visualizations.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management, including backlog management, use case development, and test scenario creation.
  • Communication: Strong ability to capture and communicate technical requirements effectively and clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Experience creating training content and knowledge-sharing resources on data-related topics.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure DevOps for project tracking and management.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle processes, particularly in cloud-based environments.
