The Role:

The Parts Room Clerk coordinates and stocks all replacement parts and spares for equipment and facility at the Argo plant through interfacing with a computerized maintenance management system.

Plant operations are Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays and possible, though rare, Sundays; three (3) union shifts run from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Central time). This position is currently set for an off-shift that may mirror the union 2nd or 3rd shift schedule. 

This position is a non-union, Salaried, Non-exempt position and is FLSA-overtime eligible.


What You'll Do:

  • Assists maintenance personnel with locating, identifying, and checking-out repair parts.
  • Reconciles material movements for parts and enters into SAP/ERP system.
  • Performs physical counts and cycle counts for inventoried parts.
  • Audit part information in SAP/ERP/MRP system(s) and reports discrepancies to MRO Buyer.
  • Complies with all separational duty requirements.
  • Organizes and maintains all inventory areas.
  • Responsible for reporting all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Shall be responsible for following cGMP's.
  • Back-up handled by MRO Buyer.
  • UPS Shipping (small packages, certified letters, overnight delivery, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance/Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisor(s), and/or MRO Buyer.


What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent 
  • 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance, inventory and/or manufacturing.
  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to maintain compliance with company driving standards to operate company vehicle.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to use a ladder, two-wheel truck and hand pallet jack.
  • Familiarity to quickly identify tools, parts and maintenance supplies is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities.
  • General typing abilities and computer skills. 
  • Ability to use vendor applications/websites (i.e. UPS).
  • Functional experience in the use of MS Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, and/or equivalent ERP/MRP system.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion

Salary Range:

  • $47,300 - $58,300 (compensation will vary based on candidates' qualifications, job related knowledge and experience and specific location)
