Every day, Agilent Service Engineers help our customers in Barcelona to solve issues that enable scientists to make discoveries that improve the quality of life. Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keep labs running smoothly and more efficiently.

As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.

This role entails providing not only technical but also application support to our customers and colleagues. Work on-site at a variety of labs and support the customers with instruments:

  • Works on assignments with general outline and broad objectives in increasing area of responsibility.
  • Work is done independently within general framework and reviewed for accuracy as needed.
  • Expected to operate and perform successfully with less supervision.
  • Broad scope and influence within team to identify and recommend process or program improvements and solutions to increasingly complex challenges.
  • Determines appropriate methods, actions and approaches to assignments, with occasional support from team leads, experts, and management as needed.
  • Contributes actively in team activities, sharing expertise and ideas and developing leadership skills.
  • Collaborates internally or externally on projects in area of specialization.
  • May assist in mentoring or training others using increased knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or BioPharma
  • Minimum hands-on experience with biomolecular, genomics and/or automation solutions, either as an end-user OR in a similar technical support role is preferred
  • Full proficiency in Spanish and at least good level of English
  • A valid driving license

This full-time, permanent position, based in Spain, is available as soon as possible. The role won’t be head-office based, but working remotely combined with the short-distance travel to customer sites within your assigned geography in this case Catalonia and Aragon (a company car will be available to you).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
