Job Description:

The Treehouse Operations Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the children’s center, ensuring a safe, efficient, and engaging environment for both guests and staff. This role is responsible for upholding operational excellence, driving a culture of hospitality, and fostering memorable guest experiences. Serving as a hands-on leader, the supervisor provides guidance, support, and accountability to staff while collaborating across departments to achieve organizational goals. This position reports to the Director of Children’s Programs.

  • This is a 7 month seasonal position from 10/1 through 4/30.
  • The budgeted salary range for this position is $60,656 - $69,754. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions / Key Responsibilities  

  • Oversee daily Rental Operations, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained, sized, and available to deliver a seamless guest experience 
  • Manage rental and retail product inventory, including re-orders, inter-store transfers, substitutions, and support for annual ski buy planning 
  • Ensure rental and lesson guests are properly outfitted, partnering with Ski & Snowboard School staff to create a safe and positive first impression 
  • Maintain expert proficiency with rental systems and ski tech procedures to support accurate equipment fitting and efficient guest flow 
  • Uphold the highest safety standards by accurately processing liability documentation, completing equipment testing, and coordinating with the legal department as needed 
  • Oversee daily setup, operation, and teardown of the S3 6 & under Magic Carpet in collaboration with S3 staff, ensuring a safe and welcoming learning environment 
  • Ensure compliance with Tramway Safety Board and OSHA regulations, including signage, licensing, operating procedures, and evacuation protocols 
  • Monitor and maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the Treehouse facility, including cleanliness, stocking, and snow removal, to ensure a guest-ready environment 
  • Coordinate with property services and maintenance teams to resolve facility issues quickly and efficiently 
  • Lead and develop Treehouse staff through hiring, scheduling, assigning duties, coaching, and performance evaluation, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality 
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and overall guest satisfaction within areas of oversight 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • Must be 21 years or older 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree in recreation, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 full seasons of experience in the winter sports industry required, with an understanding of ski school, ski rental or resort operations 
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Proficiency in computer systems including point-of-sale (POS), scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment fitting, rental processes, and ski tech procedures 
  • Familiarity with ski & snowboard school (S3) operations, including scheduling, lesson coordination, and guest experience management 
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response protocols, including Tramway Safety Board and OSHA compliance 
  • Skill in managing rental/retail inventory, product ordering, and inter-store coordination 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff performance 
  • Ability to foster a safe, positive, and engaging work environment for employees and guests 
  • Ability to maintain facility operations, ensuring cleanliness, stocking, and coordination with maintenance and property services 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with S3 instructors and cross-departmental partners to deliver seamless guest experiences 
  • Excellent guest service skills, with the ability to address inquiries, resolve complaints, and enhance overall satisfaction 
  • Ability to anticipate operational needs, adapt to challenges, and implement solutions that support efficiency and guest safety
Additional Information:

Work Environment & Physical Demands 

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time    
  • Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces   
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
