WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support our client’s new office fit-out in San Francisco. Reporting to the client’s Technical Program Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all IT, AV, and workplace technology components. This includes seamless integration across event spaces, meeting rooms, and desk environments. You will act as the primary liaison between vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders, providing structured oversight of technical workstreams to ensure the program is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
This is a hybrid role and requires an onsite presence 2 - 3 days week in downtown San Francisco.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage IT, AV, and network infrastructure components of the office build-out.
- Coordinate with vendors onsite to manage office move logistics and equipment transitions.
- Track schedules, deliverables, budgets, and risks; provide structured weekly updates.
- Oversee technology fit-outs for meeting rooms and event spaces.
- Ensure accountability and proactive progress across all technical workstreams.
- Act as the primary liaison with contractors, IT/AV vendors, workplace teams, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain clear communication with EMEA-based leadership to minimize time zone delays.
- Provide concise, actionable updates to senior stakeholders.
- Manage multiple IT/AV infrastructure workstreams with strong technical oversight.
- Ensure alignment with client IT and equipment standards.
- Navigate San Francisco permitting processes and union building requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in a technical field (AV/VC, Networking, Infrastructure, IT Construction, etc.).
- Proven experience leading teams through design, scheduling, deployment, and commissioning phases of enterprise technology spaces.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and schematics.
- Effective communication across platforms (Slack, Google Chat, Cisco Webex, email).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Experience managing project budgets and vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with AV system functionality and installation techniques.
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with enterprise project management software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- PMP certification or equivalent (e.g., Prince2).
- BS or BA degree.
- Experience with union/building best practices in San Francisco fit-outs.
- Knowledge of digital signage, broadcast studios, and VC deployments.
