Lead Java Full Stack Developer (Onsite)

We are seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Developer 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in and Java, Spring, AWS, Kubernetes, Spring boot and ELK will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver impactful results

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Location: Riverwoods, IL Onsite position, 5 days a week at the office.

Responsibilities

• Java Full Stack Engineer/Lead
• Strong expertise in Core Java particularly in recent versions of JDK 17+ with special focus on performance.
• Must be hands on with Java , Spring , AWS ,Kubernetes, Spring boot ,ELK
• Strong Scrum background and experience with leading the team 
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintain consistency, and share insights on design patterns.
• Debugging and troubleshooting. Identify and resolve technical issues that impact functionality and performance, ensuring seamless application development.
• Implementing unit testing. Conduct comprehensive unit testing to validate the functionality of each application module, adhering to software development lifecycle best practices.
• Delivering superior Engineering outcomes.
• Utilize tools like Git, Maven, Docker, and AWS to manage project dependencies and streamline deployment.
• Preferably in Banking / Payments industry experience.

Qualifications

• Java Full Stack Engineer/Lead(FSE) Resource with Strong expertise in Java FSE, particularly with recent versions of JDK, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of Java 8 through the latest versions.
• Below Full Stack Knowledge required.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,3372 – $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
