We are looking for a multidisciplinary Graphic & Web Designer to join our fast paced, on site Franz Marketing Team.  The Graphic and Web Designer will play an important role in the organization by enhancing and shaping the future visual identity of the Franz Family of brands across the design and digital landscape.  This role blends strong visual packaging/asset design skills with digital execution as well.  This position brings our brands to life across packaging, various marketing assets, campaigns, and online.  This role will create from concept to market, graphic designs for a variety of assets including but not limited to packaging/product design, point of sale, social media, email, and websites.  The ideal candidate will be creative, teach savvy, organized and enjoys working on a number of different scale projects from concept to market with a commitment to flawless execution.  The Graphic and Web Designer will drive brand presence across digital platforms including and not limited to various website platforms (internal and external) and e-mail. 

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Design food packaging (bags, labels and boxes) from concept > layout >mockups > print-ready files.
• Design and create marketing materials for print, digital, point of purchase displays (examples: sell sheets, shippers, inserts, banners (physical and digital), merchandise, signage, product mockups etc.) web, ecom platforms (Shopify etc.) and social media content.
• Develop and design branding pieces such as logos for marketing assets.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on concepts to produce high-quality packaging designs and overall marketing materials.
• Make updates and changes to websites.
• Monitors search terms, rankings, and analytics for performance and make recommendations for improvements on websites.
• Assist in proofing assets for accuracy and consistency across brand platforms.
• Responsible for organization of print files and assets files sent to printers.
• Product photography, in packaging and food styling shoots.
• Lead design projects and perform project management duties as assigned.
• Completes administrative tasks as necessary, such as invoice coding, filing, customer service communication etc.
• May work outside of business hours, to include occasional weekends and evenings and travel to events/meetings.
• Performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

• 3+ years of experience in graphic and web design, preferably in the food industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, web design, marketing, digital marketing or related field.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience working with design and content teams to execute marketing and brand initiatives.
• Experience with flexible packaging and corrugated.
• Demonstrated website design and development experience (HTML, CSS) and working knowledge of CMS (WordPress)
• Experience with Shopify and ecommerce platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA food labeling laws preferred.
• Food photography skills preferred.
• Motion/animation skills or familiarity with AI creative tools preferred.

• Strong grasp of design principles (layout, typography, visual hierarchy, responsive design)
• Ability to pivot quickly, run with feedback, and juggle multiple priorities
• Strong timeline, problem solving and project management skills with the ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with printers and vendors as needed to bring creative to print/website/market
• Takes accountability for quality control and attention to detail.
• Effective and professional collaboration and communication with Marketing Team and key stakeholders throughout the company.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to accomplish goals and tasks independently and work well in a Team environment.
• Strong business acumen.
• Independent judgment is often required, must be able to work independently to accomplish multiple tasks.
• Solid proficiency and use of Microsoft office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Excel).
