As an Events and Marketing Coordinator at Equifax, a trusted global leader in data, analytics, and technology, you will play a key role in supporting our purpose of helping people live their financial best. You will be instrumental in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events, as well as providing essential support for a range of marketing operations tasks. This is a hands-on position where you'll work with a team to ensure our marketing strategy is executed flawlessly and supports our business growth.

Your ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, along with your excellent problem-solving skills, will be critical to your success. You'll be comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels, ensuring our marketing initiatives are well-coordinated and communicated effectively across the business.

What you’ll do

As an Events and Marketing Coordinator, you will be crucial to the successful execution of our events and marketing initiatives. Your primary duties will include:

  • Event Strategy and Execution: You will play a vital role in planning and supporting our major external and internal events. This includes managing event logistics from concept to completion, such as conducting research for venues, suppliers, and vendors. Event management will include (but not limited to) in person events, webinar events, roundtables, exhibitions and trade shows.

  • Administrative and Stakeholder Support: Supporting internal teams by developing and maintaining a comprehensive contacts database and managing all aspects of guest lists, invitations, and follow-ups. You'll also handle the administrative duties of event planning, such as processing invoices, raising purchase orders, and managing event calendars.

  • Communications: Engage closely with the wider communications and marketing function to align on priorities and key messaging, sector focus and product offerings. Supporting with communications production, promotional materials and social media support.

  • Marketing and Reporting: You will take the lead on developing and submitting awards entries by gathering necessary information from various internal stakeholders. You will also assist with post-event activities, including feedback surveys, building continual brand awareness, budget reconciliation, and contributing to event ROI reporting and lead tracking to measure the success of our initiatives.

  • Occasional travel is a requirement of this role, and you should expect to spend some nights working away from home.

Beyond your event-focused responsibilities, you will provide essential support for the broader marketing team, including:

  • Marketing Operations Support: Manage a range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the marketing department. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact between the marketing team and other departments, ensuring that marketing campaigns and initiatives are well-coordinated and that everyone is kept informed of key updates.

  • Content and Collateral Support: Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials and collateral, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to the relevant teams. This includes supporting the management of our marketing asset library.

What experience you need

  • Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing both internal and external events, from conception to completion. This includes managing logistics, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Experience in supporting a wider marketing strategy, including administrative tasks, budget tracking, and contributing to campaign initiatives.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail across all events to ensure first-class delivery. 

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • A foundational understanding of event and campaign metrics, with the ability to assist in data collection and reporting to demonstrate ROI and provide insights.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of marketing activities.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to operate independently on assigned tasks and bring new ideas to the table to solve problems.

  • Experience working in a B2B environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of the unique challenges and strategies involved in marketing to other businesses.

  • Hands-on experience with planning and executing events, as well as managing the administrative and operational tasks that support a marketing team.

  • A high standard of influencing skills with senior business colleagues, coupled with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.

  • Experience using a range of marketing and sales technology platforms, such as G Suite, Oracle Eloqua, SalesForce Sales Cloud, Pardot or Marketing Cloud, and Google Analytics 360.
