Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Manufacturing in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence throughout the facility. Your role will involve monitoring assigned areas, providing exceptional customer service, and fostering a welcoming environment for all. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations through appropriate channels.
• Support access control measures by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
