Overview:

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring Seasonal Servers to join our team at Rowlands Bar and Grill in New York, New York. As a Server, you will have the privilege of representing our restaurant and creating lasting impressions through your exceptional service, making each guest feel valued and satisfied. Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

 

The season is October through December, until January 1st.

Unit Description:

Patina Group is a leader in the premium segment of the restaurant and catering industry, operating restaurants and managing catering and food service operations at high-profile venues including, Lincoln Center, Walt Disney World®, Disneyland®, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, and The Metropolitan Opera. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
  • Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver checks to guests
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
  • Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
Qualifications:
  • Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
  • Beneficial if you have one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment and experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
  • No high school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as standing, walking, and bending for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs
  • Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
