About this Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Product Business Analyst for the Fexco Product and Innovation team.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on an evolving product in the payments orchestration space. As a Product Business Analyst you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our Open Connect product. You will be responsible for deep technical analysis and your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in helping us make data-driven decisions and improve our product offering.

This exciting role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis with the opportunity to work from our offices based in Ireland with flexibility to work a hybrid model.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Open Connect Product Owners and Product Managers with detailed product and systems analysis tasks as directed.
  • Describe complex system interactions and business processes using UML, BPMN and flowcharts.
  • Conduct analysis on product components to understand impact of new requirements on existing software design and data model interdependencies. Use this analysis to translate impacts into a set of unambiguous and complete set of requirements.
  • Design and document API protocols for Open Connect. Should have good understanding of the common cross-system communication approaches with experience using JSON/XML/XSD.
  • Perform data analysis, leveraging SQL (or other as required), to identify patterns and trends and insights within Open Connect data-sets.
  • Review Acquirer and Partner specifications as needed to elicit requirements for Open Connect functionality.
  • Conduct data mapping and define data requirements for new features and functionality.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide input into development estimates and roadmap plans for development of new features.


Experience & Competencies Required:

  • A third level qualification in business or technology.
  • 3+ years of proven business and systems analysis experience.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience working in agile development environments implementing Scrum/Kanban.
  • Overall knowledge of SDLC core principles.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and curiosity.
  • Must be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrable ability to connect with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Must be flexible and have a 'can-do' attitude and approach.
