Job Summary
• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in core subject areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Utilize adopted curriculum and instructional strategies consistent with the California Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including English Learners, students with disabilities, and high-achieving learners.
• Create a classroom environment that promotes active learning, equity, and student well-being.
• Administer and interpret formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in grade-level and staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Implement school and district behavior expectations and classroom management systems.
• Collaborate with support staff and specialists (e.g., EL coordinators, special education teachers, counselors).
• Supervise students in various settings, including classroom, playground, and school events.
• Comply with all district policies, administrative regulations, and applicable laws.
