Job Summary:
The Network and Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Network and Systems Infrastructure. Primary focus will be the network infrastructure while providing backup and additional assistance to the systems engineer as needed. This role ensures network availability, performance, and security by proactively monitoring, maintaining, and improving core network services. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with strong troubleshooting skills, capable of supporting a growing organization with a lean IT team.
Salary: $80,000-95,000 annually

Essential Functions:
Network Administration
Systems Administration
· Patch, install and config application software, virtual environment and server/host devices
Support Capacity:
· Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
Communication and Culture:
Provide a customer-oriented approach, communicating at all stages of ticket.
Communicate in a positive and professional manner with customers, other employees, and volunteers.
Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion to make AHS a welcoming environment for all.
Additional Information:
Schedule and Attendance:
Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during operational hours.
Attend and participate in regular team meetings, all staff meetings, and one-on-one meetings with direct leader.
Must be able to travel to a different work site based on department needs
May be required to attend occasional off-site meetings and events.
Work Environment:
Primarily office/desk based.
Adjacent animal shelter areas may be humid, noisy, or odorous.

Experience:
Physical Demands:
Prolonged sitting at a desk.
Must be able to lift, carry, and handle items up to 50 lbs. unassisted. For items over 50 lbs., assistance from another team member is required.
Emotional Demands:
Must be comfortable with the emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of humane euthanasia.
