Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Remote Refrigeration Specialist to join our team in the Refrigeration and HVAC industry. As a Remote Refrigeration Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to monitor, diagnose, and potentially resolve issues with commercial refrigeration systems in the supermarket space remotely (Triage). By utilizing advanced technology and your extensive knowledge of supermarket commercial refrigeration, you will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and optimizing the performance of our clients' refrigeration systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remote Monitoring: Utilize remote monitoring tools and software to actively monitor the performance and health of commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets.
  • Issue Detection and Diagnosis: Analyze system data, alarms, and other indicators to identify potential issues or anomalies in refrigeration systems, including temperature variations, pressure fluctuations, and energy inefficiencies.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Apply your extensive knowledge of supermarket commercial refrigeration to diagnose and troubleshoot problems remotely, utilizing technical documentation, system schematics, and industry best practices.
  • Remote Issue Resolution: Implement appropriate measures to resolve identified issues remotely, including adjusting system parameters, modifying control settings, and implementing fixes, where applicable.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with field technicians and customers to effectively communicate diagnoses, potential solutions, and next steps. Provide clear instructions and guidance to onsite technicians when further intervention is necessary.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze collected data to identify recurring issues, potential issues for proactive handling, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations for the team and customer.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in supermarket commercial refrigeration. Share knowledge and insights with the team to enhance overall performance and capabilities.

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the supermarket commercial refrigeration space, with a focus on service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of a wide range of commercial refrigeration equipment, including display cases, walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration racks.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools, data analysis software, and HVAC/R diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose complex issues remotely.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, keeping up with industry advancements and certifications.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety protocols in the HVAC industry.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; noise level is usually moderate. All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride along with a field technician as part of their employment.
