The position will be based on Alstom's Eglinton Maintenance Depot location and will be working in the NAM Services Engineering department.  The scope of work for the 4 to 8 month Manufacturing Engineering CO-OP student will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Identifying warehouse material utilizing parts list, engineering documentation (drawings, Spec sheets), and material data base (SAP / VCM)
  • Create material part numbers including technical specification
  • Work with vehicle and infrastructure maintenance engineers to determine operational priority and failure rate of identified material
  • Support Engineering Manager tracking engineering work progress and create status report utilizing visual management; compare against engineering master plan
  • Optimize Engineering SharePoint sites for Eglinton and Finch LRT Project
  • Support analysing engineering data. 
  • Support trouble shoot issues and propose engineering solutions. 
  • Knowledge in: MS Office package (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, MS Project), Power BI.
  • Support Eglinton and Finch LRT engineering team with oustanding deliverables.
