The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

This internship allows interns to gain hands-on experience within the engineering department while participating in online and in-person classes to learn about other resort based engineering career paths

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

• Relocate to Death Valley National Park in California for the duration of the program
• Be studying or interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time Internship
Season Dates: May 13th, 2026 - August 7th, 2026
Pay: $16.65 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays). During high business volume this position may require overtime.

Program Highlights:

• Learn about project planning and execution at a high-volume resort property in a remote desert environment.
• Gain hands-on experience supporting engineering and facilities teams in real-world projects.
• Participate in site assessments, project scoping, and timeline development for active infrastructure and renovation projects.
• Rotate through key departments such as Facilities, Maintenance, and Engineering to understand daily operations and interdependencies.
• Attend in-person and online learning sessions focused on project management principles, sustainability, and hospitality operations.
• Shadow project managers and engineers to observe leadership, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
• Learn to use tools for scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
• Identify challenges and propose solutions for sustainable development within a National Park setting.

• Lodging department interns are required to have a valid Driver's License (learner's permit not accepted)
• Must be able to work independently.
