Occupational Therapist (OT) – Travel Position

Location: Mound City, MO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s
Pay: $2,025/week

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a healthcare facility in Mound City, MO, on a travel contract. The OT will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients to help them regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related tasks. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient-centered, and experienced in supporting individuals across diverse clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore independence and enhance quality of life.
• Provide interventions focused on improving mobility, coordination, self-care, and cognitive function.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and use of assistive equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Accurately document patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri (or compact license).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience, preferably in an acute, rehab, or long-term care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
• Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with commitment to quality care.
