Reporting to and in collaboration with the Heart & Vascular Institute, Director of Clinical Excellence, this position oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of the ACS Program. Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects directed toward market strategic growth, development, and sustainability of ACS programs, and for directing, evaluating, and providing feedback to professional team members who participate in the ACS program. Assumes the day-to-day responsibilities of process and quality improvement activities as they relate to program performance in addition to developing, monitoring, and acting upon clinical and operational metrics designed to continuously improve service delivery. Activities associated with this position have organizational, local, regional, and state impact as well as responsibility for maintaining Chest Pain Center certification. The ACS programs contain complex activities that may span functions and facilities. Builds credibility, establishes rapport and maintains communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. Assesses, plans, designs, and implements comprehensive certification programs and supports other certified programs. In addition, assists with special projects related to the Heart & Vascular Institute. Organizes educational opportunities and performs frequent data analysis with follow-up. Strives to spend at least 50% of their time visible, present and available to team members who work with ACS patients to provide necessary mentoring, teaching, and support. This includes but is not limited to community education, risk factor management, inpatient protocols and pathways, post-acute care and quality monitoring.
