About the role
Eastern Health is currently looking for passionate and experienced Grade 3 Social Workers to join our Allied Health teams. This senior role will provide intervention to those on GEM (Geriatric Evaluation Management) waitlist aiming to discharge them home with ambulatory services and to reduce hospital acquired de-conditioning. The focus is on patients on two general medicine wards of Box Hill Hospital.
This role provides service to our growing, innovative Social Work department. The role is supported by social work team and Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
