The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled position responsible for performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. This role will lead less experienced mechanics and ensure all equipment meets safety and operating standards.

This is a Full-Time Year-Round position with full benefits and employee housing available starting at $325/month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems

  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and resolve major mechanical issues with minimal supervision

  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation

  • Train and provide guidance to junior mechanics

  • Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed in the shop

  • Assist with emergency repairs and on-call support as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance

  • ASE certifications or equivalent preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
