Avionics Technical Support Engineer – Aftermarket
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Technical Support Engineer to provide high-quality technical support for a range of avionics systems, including flight recorders, electronic standby instruments, SATCOM, TCAS, and TAWS. This role is well-suited for candidates with a strong technical foundation and a passion for problem-solving who want to build deeper expertise in aviation technology.
As part of the technical support organization, you will assist customers with troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational guidance while collaborating closely with internal teams to resolve issues and improve product performance. The role also emphasizes the use of automation and AI to improve field service outcomes, including faster diagnostics, smarter maintenance workflows, and automated reporting, with a continuous improvement mindset focused on reducing repeat issues and improving uptime, quality, and response time.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for customer technical inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate supportAssist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to supported avionics productsUse Salesforce to track, manage, and document customer interactions and support casesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to technical support processes and toolsParticipate in product reliability reviews and assist in identifying trends in failure modesCollaborate with engineering teams on root cause analysis and corrective actionsContribute to the development of service bulletins and technical documentationAssist in creating and delivering customer training related to product installation, maintenance, and repairProvide input for proposals, quotations, and product support agreements as requiredTravel internationally to customer sites and other Acron facilities as needed to provide on-site support and product trainingCommunicate clearly and effectively with customers, peers, and leadership, delivering presentations appropriate to technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience2–5 years of experience in technical support, avionics, or a related field preferredBasic knowledge of digital electronics and RF systems; familiarity with avionics systems preferredStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teamsSelf-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and growProficiency in Microsoft OfficeProficiency in SalesforceExperience using automation and AI tools to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiencyDemonstrated a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to evaluate processes and implement more effective ways of workingAbility to adopt and promote automation and AI tools to improve team speed, quality, and execution
