We are seeking a proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our team at the Ashby site. In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and delivering sourcing strategies that support our overall business objectives. You’ll oversee the inward supply of production commodities as well as non-production goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with company standards.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous purchasing/procurement experience is essential.
CIPS qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
Experienced ERP system user (preferably JDE).
Skilled in collating and reporting data for analysis.
Experienced in using MRP systems.
Sector experience in chemicals or packaging procurement is highly desirable.
