What You’ll Do

• Review pre-labeled audio segmentation and transcription for accuracy and correctness.
• Follow project guidelines to ensure high-quality results.
• Contribute to improving AI speech recognition models. 

Project Breakdown
Segmentation
Review and refine speech boundaries so that each interval reflects a coherent intonational phrase based on prosodic annotation conventions.

Transcription
Create accurate orthographic transcriptions that faithfully capture spontaneous speech production, including morphosyntactic variants, overlaps, mimicry, and reduced forms.

Requirements

• Fluent, Native or near-native proficiency in US English.
• Prior experience with transcription and familiarity with ADAP, or similar speech annotation tools.
• Strong understanding of phonetics, phonology, and prosodic annotation.
• Ability to recognize intonational phrases, pitch accents, and prosodic boundaries.
• Keen ear for spontaneous conversational speech, including disfluencies and overlaps.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in transcription conventions.
• Background in segmentation and transcription

Payment Details

Compensation for Project Calendula is based on the audio hour rate.
