About Role:

As a Purchase professional, you will play a critical role in driving the successful procurement of key electrical and instrumentation packages that power our projects. You must bring strong technical knowledge, sharp negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to supplier management, ensuring cost-effective sourcing without compromising quality or timelines. Your ability to collaborate across teams and leverage market insights will be essential in delivering value and enabling smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

Desired Experience: Yrs of Exp / Nature of Exp

B.E Electrical / Instrumentation

 8-10 years of relevant experience in Procurement of E& I Packages

Key Skills Required: Areas of expertise / skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment, including panels, cables, cable trays, UPS systems, and control panels.
• Expertise in procurement processes and best practices specific to electrical and instrumentation packages.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors for the electrical and instrumentation packages including all types of control panels.
• Proficient negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms while adhering to budgets.
• Strong analytical skills for cost optimization and implementing effective cost reduction strategies.
• Good understanding of supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials to site or stores.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to work closely with vendors, project teams, and finance departments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP MM module, for purchase order management and vendor tracking.
• Knowledge of industry standards, quality requirements, compliance and reputed suppliers relevant to electrical and instrumentation procurement.
• Ability to maintain accurate procurement documentation and reports for audit and project tracking.

• Manage procurement of electrical and instrumentation packages for projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Achieve cost savings and meet procurement targets through strategic vendor management and negotiations.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor vendor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and finance to ensure smooth purchase order processing and timely payment release.
• Track and expedite delivery schedules to meet project timelines and avoid delays.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
